Heat Pumps
Sustainable heating with renewable energy-supported heat pump systems.

Floras Engineering delivers technical solutions tailored to your project needs with Viessmann, Aldea.
A heat pump is the most efficient energy conversion technology that converts low-temperature energy taken from the environment (air, ground or water) into high temperature for use in heating or cooling. Floras Engineering successfully applies Viessmann's Vitocal series and Aldea's air-to-water heat pumps in residential and commercial projects.
A COP value of 4 means that 4 kWh of heat is produced for every 1 kWh of electrical energy spent per pump; this means four times less energy consumption compared to conventional electric heating. The Viessmann Vitocal 250-A air-water series can operate at high efficiency down to -20°C outdoor temperature, providing a reliable heating source even in northern climates.
Ground source (geothermal) systems use the stable heat in the ground through horizontal collectors or vertical drilling wells; seasonal COP (SCOP) values are higher than air source systems. Heat pump systems integrated with photovoltaic solar panels can achieve near-zero operating costs.
As Floras Engineering, we provide comprehensive support in energy auditing, system sizing, ground survey (for geothermal), installation, commissioning and Renewable Energy Sources incentive applications.
